We started with the holocaust museum, which was a sad and shocking reminder to the millions that died in World War 2, and was a memorial along with a museum, and I personally felt it was an excellent tribute to those who died.
After the Holocaust Museum, we took a walk in the snow to the Capitol building, buying some food from a street vendor on the way. I gave the dude 5 dollars for mine, and the idiot gave me 5 dollars change. What a loser :P
Outside the Capitol, the girls shrieked a bit as they threw their 25 dollar perfume into the trash, and we all passed through a metal detector before we could get in. Even though I had forgotten to take my dog tags off for the holocaust museum, I promptly forgot to take them off again, so had to remove my belt and shoes... pain in the butt.
Once inside, we entered a theatre and watched a movie that slated the evil british people :P and that DC spent a good 5 minutes afterwards criticising about getting the womens vote date wrong... the film itself was 13 minutes
We had a lovely tour, and I've included some pictures below. Next post will be our first day at high school and a Gar Field Basketball match!
